Soundfonts for Linux

A few users have emailed me asking for uncompressed soundfonts for Linux desktops which now support the Soundblaster card. Now I'm a big Linux fan for servers especially, and since I really want there to be an alternative to M$ and the phone-home Windoze XP and WPA (which I will never purchase, run, or support), here are two of the best.

Thanks to Chris Puttick, I've been told that the sfArk utility 2.15 runs perfectly under WINE v.20020812 - http://winehq.org (as shipped with SuSE Professional 8.1). These files are gzipped SF2 files - download - gunzip them - and enjoy.
